Our New Home...the Interior (more coming soon!)

Here is our awesome floorplan...very spacious with lots of CLOSETS!
Our fireplace is the diagonal slate tile. We will someday look into get the wood upgraded to a different color maybe.
We did splurge to get the stained banister spokes and steps to match the beautiful stained wood banister.
Our stained cabinets, backsplash (on the diagonal), "granite-look" countertop color and vinyl kitchen flooring (that almost exactly matches our tile also shown here). We chose vinyl upstairs to save costs and also because vinyl is much softer if someone falls on it in the bathroom...plus it's less slippery. We chose vinyl in the kitchen and dining room because we plan to upgrade to hard wood floors in the future. We also plan to put hard wood flooring in the formal living room.

For the countertop, we are getting the "beveled" edging (top) vs. the wood edge (bottom). It looks more like a granite or corian countertop that way. It's also nicer looking and easier to clean.
I would like to use similar decor as this to decorate our kitchen, which will be similar to this. This decor was the model.
HERE IS OUR KITCHEN! We replaced the light fixture in this picture with the fan and light kit in th bedroom and put a new kit in the bedroom.
Our dishwasher...and we purchased a black refrigerator to match.
Our range, microwave and cooktop.

Our fixtures are a mixture of chrome and brass to blend with both silver and gold decor.

For any knob that isn't this chrome/brass blend, we chose brass.
The master bath flooring and white marble countertop. The white marble will surround the white 6 foot jacuzzi bathtub. We also chose brass trim in the shower to bring out the brass in the fixtures.

A more "cream" base for the soon-to-be kids' bathroom.

Our tile and carpet. We upgraded to get this really nice stainmaster carpet...our main upgrade in the house. We chose the high grade with the "speckles" to further hide any stains.
Here are the interior wall and trim paint colors we chose. We are sticking with slightly cooler tones. They seemed to go better with everything.
